We were destined to shine
Wedding dinner @ Hilton Hotel last night and I love to attend wedding dinners :) It's nice to sit with the older generations, they talked about their past, life in Indonesia, indonesian cuisine and I really love eating their food, unlike my sisters. Though they spoke in dialect, but I could understand what they were talking about. I replied in mandarin, haha. They also talked about this indonesian boy and mini matchmaking session. And they started comparing the zodiacs and etc. Mum, I'm only 15. Me & Mum :)

The bride and bridegroom :) They know each other in university, during the freshman orientation. And coincidentally, they sat beside each other in the plane, talked and ... friendship... courtship... marriage. I think I look weird in this picture but anyway, I love the bride's dress :)

Claypot rice for dinner at Geylang with family. Before that, went to Vivocity, harbourfront to check out the rooms for cruise, Superstar Virgo but the only available dates are 18th, 19th and 20th December but there's BBQ gathering so didn't book it. Maybe next year but that's tentative. I'm going to check out for 1st January 2010 - 3rd January 2010 :)
I'm still at my cousin's house now, want to go home and sleep :)
7 dec ; returning blazer, hta, meeting yang zhi, holiday assignments 9 dec ; meeting rebecca! 11 dec ; squad outing 14 dec ; birthday :) 18 dec ; unit outing 19 dec ; bbq gathering! 26 dec ; meeting kelvin, kale, and maybe sasi
NDP outing, I don't know how to plan already. I shall leave it to Justin :)

Why Freedomofdoves? Ever heard of the song - "Paint My Love" by Michael Learns To Rock? Listen to the chorus and you might find out the answer from there. I am not a huge fan of doves but I just find that this uniform resource locator of my blog sounds really comely and it gives me a halcyon feeling. This is where I blog about the story of my life...
Every individual is different. I am a very hyper active person with effervescent personality and I am very sociable :) During my leisure time, I visit the museums or go cycling at the beach. My preferences for genres of music are easy listening, blues, classical and pop. I also search for beautiful pictures for inspirations. I only watch Hong Kong Dramas and news.
Under my parents consent, I have an english name - Athena, as many people do not know how to pronounce my name. I live in this famous little red dot, Singapore. People often mistaken me as a foreigner but I am a pure Singaporean :) My mother is an Indonesian and my father is a Singaporean. Not considering the fact that we are near to the equator, Singapore, this developed country is a wonderful place to live in. Be it traditional songs or NDP theme songs, they are still my favorites.
I attended PAP Kindergarden from 1998 - 2000, Braddell Primary School in 2001, First Toa Payoh Primary School from 2002-2006 and currently studying in Beatty Secondary School. I am a Normal Academic student and holding on to six subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Chinese, Combined Science, Combined Humanities and Design and Technology. This year, I will be taking seven Normal level papers and one Ordinary level English paper.
My greatest wish in life is to travel around the world with my family or friends and be a happy person. I think that is how life should be :) My level of maturity depends on who I am with.
I am from the National Police Cadet Corps and held the post of Assistant Head of Administration and Secondary Two Squad Mentor. In 2008, I was chosen to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade in Home Team Academy. In 2009, I took part in the National Day Parade as a member of the NPCC contingent. In my own unit, I was in the Guard Of Honor Contingent in 2009 and 2010. After the National Day Parade, under NPCC, I went for the five days four nights Outward Bound Singapore Camp in Pulau Ubin. I also feel honored to be one of the 30 cadets who went for the seven days and six nights NPCC Overseas Educational Trip to Hong Kong and Macau from 17 November 2009 to 23 November 2009.
