I keep you with me in my heart, you make it easier when life gets hard
It was my first time celebrating my birthday with my friends :) My birthday falls on the month of holiday so I don't usually meet up with my friends or classmates for celebration. Either to cousin's house for a small party or dine out with family. Last Saturday, I was late and I still feel bad because they waited for me for an hour. I should feel bad. *guilty look* Ehub, Pastamania - Terence's presence shocked me. Thank god for the good weather and we went to Pasir Ris Beach and walked quite a distance to the bike rental shop :) Jia Min and Zheng Qian left because they told me they've 'something on'
I don't know anything about the surprise at first, even when Aaron blurted out 'birthday cake' but Terence revealed more about the surprise as we were walking to our destination. Jia Min and Zheng Qian came with the birthday cake :)
Macbook failed me. Couldn't save the video file so shall leave the link down :
http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1317527180817&subj=1347570603 Our hair look so healthy and shiny in the video :) And the joker Aaron! 5:08 - 5:21 View in high quality :)
Birthday cake!
Terence borrowed a lighter from the bike rental shop.
Jia Min tried to light up the candle but the wind was too big.
Terence took over. But also failed, tsk, bad wind.
The candle is not light up :)
Believe it or not, without my mum around me, I don't know cut a cake, haha. Fathin was there to guide me :)
After few minutes of 'hard work', finally done with cutting! 360 degrees turn. So proud of myself :)
Paper plates! Haha NPCC cadets FTW!
Terence wanted to smash the cake in Aaron's face but Aaron knew it already so no fun seh, haha.

Thank you everyone for the presents :) We rented a bike each, $5 for 2 hours. Compared to East Coast Park bike rental shops, this is considered cheap. Compared to East Coast Park, Pasir Ris Beach is quite boring. Apparently. Still not very good at handling the bike, Terence and Zheng Qian coached Rebecca along the way.

We thought of cycling to Changi Beach but we decided to turn back at the Shell Station because of time constraint.

We cycled past the green field and stopped at the traffic light junction. Many people were there flying kites :) While waiting for the rest to reach, we took some pictures of the beautiful place.

After we returned our bikes, we had to pay $2 each because we were late. There's actually no difference between the bike shops at Pasir Ris Beach and East Coast Beach. Pasir Ris Beach - $5 for 2 hours/ late, pay extra $2 which sum up to $7 East Coast Beach - $7 for 2 hours/ late, need not pay extra $$$ Walked all the way out under the moonlight. Took a bus to the bus interchange and home sweet home! Eunice stayed in Pasir Ris, Terence took bus home, others took train home and I took Bus 88 back to Toa Payoh with Vladimir. Had dinner @ Mcdonalds, shaker fries!
Enjoyed myself much :)
Vladimir, Jia Min, Rebecca, Zheng Qian, Jacinth, Terence, Eunice, Aaron, Fathin Best best best ♥!

About Me
Koh Ching Na
Why Freedomofdoves? Ever heard of the song - "Paint My Love" by Michael Learns To Rock? Listen to the chorus and you might find out the answer from there. I am not a huge fan of doves but I just find that this uniform resource locator of my blog sounds really comely and it gives me a halcyon feeling. This is where I blog about the story of my life...
Every individual is different. I am a very hyper active person with effervescent personality and I am very sociable :) During my leisure time, I visit the museums or go cycling at the beach. My preferences for genres of music are easy listening, blues, classical and pop. I also search for beautiful pictures for inspirations. I only watch Hong Kong Dramas and news.
Under my parents consent, I have an english name - Athena, as many people do not know how to pronounce my name. I live in this famous little red dot, Singapore. People often mistaken me as a foreigner but I am a pure Singaporean :) My mother is an Indonesian and my father is a Singaporean. Not considering the fact that we are near to the equator, Singapore, this developed country is a wonderful place to live in. Be it traditional songs or NDP theme songs, they are still my favorites.
I attended PAP Kindergarden from 1998 - 2000, Braddell Primary School in 2001, First Toa Payoh Primary School from 2002-2006 and currently studying in Beatty Secondary School. I am a Normal Academic student and holding on to six subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Chinese, Combined Science, Combined Humanities and Design and Technology. This year, I will be taking seven Normal level papers and one Ordinary level English paper.
My greatest wish in life is to travel around the world with my family or friends and be a happy person. I think that is how life should be :) My level of maturity depends on who I am with.
I am from the National Police Cadet Corps and held the post of Assistant Head of Administration and Secondary Two Squad Mentor. In 2008, I was chosen to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade in Home Team Academy. In 2009, I took part in the National Day Parade as a member of the NPCC contingent. In my own unit, I was in the Guard Of Honor Contingent in 2009 and 2010. After the National Day Parade, under NPCC, I went for the five days four nights Outward Bound Singapore Camp in Pulau Ubin. I also feel honored to be one of the 30 cadets who went for the seven days and six nights NPCC Overseas Educational Trip to Hong Kong and Macau from 17 November 2009 to 23 November 2009.
