Beatty NPCC POP Chalet 2009
NPCC Squad/POP Chalet
1st day on the 9th of June (Squad chalet)
Met up with Kale @ Toa Payoh Interchange and Yi Li's mother sent us down to the chalet. Her siblings are all very smart. Her mum treats us really food :) This is my 1st time overnight-ing in chalet with friends.
Room was cosy.
Blk L - 2122 
 
Settled down in the room with Kale and Yi Li.
Within an hour,squadmates arrived :)
 
Fooled Kah Wee & Jive.
"Room 2101 la"
"We are already at there!"
"Knock on the door la"
"Knocking already"
"Knock harder! Cannot hear"
"Knocking very hard already"
"...."
Common sense.
If that is really our room,we would have just open it instead of asking them to knock right.
Norman,Yi Liang,Jive,Idayu,Aini,Kah Wee,Kale,Yi Li,Yi Lin,Xin Xia,Ching Na - That was the initial number of people before nightfalls.
Yi Liang rented a table/mahjong set at Sweet Heart.
$20 for the table
$5 for the mahjong
The mahjong table looks kinda worn out and it is not even a mahjong table.
For a bitch cost of $20.
Bought light sticks for myself :)
Purple. Pink. Green. Yellow.
Getting addicted to mahjong :/
Then back to the room for a rest while others continued their mahjong game.
I am the only one who does not know how to play mahjong at all.
But some of them took the patience to teach me :)
  Played poker cards.
I only know how to play 21 points.
All the money I had put in is from Yi Liang.
 
Dinner at the hawker centre.
They need to have more tables and chairs,haha.
Had this Korean Cuisine Set :) But the food court at Junction 8 is better.
Norman.
Only Yi Liang and him stayed overnight.
He's a very "on!" person. And he's the best person to talk to :)
  Kah Wee & Jive left.
Only Norman,Yi Liang,Kale,Yi Li,Yi Lin,Xin Xia & I stayed overnight.
Caught 双子星 at 9pm.
Yi Liang & I are big fan of this show.
Pulled other squadmates down to the bed for the show with poker cards on their palms.

Sat around the BBQ pit outside wit Yi Li. Mahjong break.
Finally pictures with Yi Lin,Xin Xia,Kale :) "Stand up and take picture la!" - Me
"I lazy to stand up. You squat down lor!" - Yi Lin  "I also want to take picture!" - Xin Xia  "Kale! Come,we also take" - Me  Individual
Walked to EHub with Norman & Yi Liang for movie information.
But there is no interesting movies showing.
So just slack around,waiting for time to fly.
Bought drinks back for the 4 others who got addicted to mahjong.
Speaking of addiction,mahjong should be classified as drug :)
Yi Liang bought this Grape Juice.
And he's like,"I want to pop!"
Brought my Anlene Milk Powder along because I cannot sleep well without it.
And I don't know why I just cannot seem to get the right taste.
My mum and maid always make it perfect.
I need skills for making milk,haha.
   If you wonder why there is a light stick in the cup. There is no spoon or any untensils which I can find in the room. So I took one of the light stick and stir it. It did not melt anyway. The night atmosphere was filled with mahjong tiles communication. A light sleeper like me will never get a peaceful sleep.  Everyone settled down peacefully at 315 am for a 15 minutes break. All of us walked to Pasir Ris Beach at 330 am just to catch sunrise. Eventually, gave up by 4 am. Back to the chalet for a rest. Yi Liang keep snatching my blanket away. Fan was on to the maximum speed.
Air-Conditioner was 22 degrees.
All I can hear is Norman's tossing left and right. The fan was the main mastermind for killing our night. Woke up at 7 am. Took some bed sheet from the wardrobe,gave it to Xin Xia & Norman. "It was so chilling last night. I do not have any blanket with me!" - Norman"Normal people will take the initiative to go to the wardrobe to search for extra blankets or other materials which will keep them warm" - Yi Lin2nd Day on the 10th of June(Juniors and NCOs '08 09 arrived)
Breakfast @ Mcdonalds.
"The cheapest meal - $2.50" - Us
Down to Escape with the girls while the 2 boys went back to their chalet for a rest.
Queued up for Pirate Ship :)
The ride is thrilling!
Me & Kale sat at one end,Xin Xia,Yi Lin,Yi Li at the other end.
  
After the ride,Kale and I felt nauseous so went back to the chalet.
The other 3 stayed for other rides.
Wasted trip.
Xin Xia played Wet & Wild :)
Her partner's a small boy.
Slept in the room for the whole late morning and early noon.
Fair Price is kind of difficult to choose BBQ food.
And we saw a girl from one of the season of Campus Superstar.
Not being offensive but seriously,she sound kind of bitchy there.
And loud. It is not like as if her friends cannot hear her. Or is she trying to give a hint?
*giving that kind of so-what-if-you-are-a-small-superstar-before?*
 
Down to Siglap Frankel Ave for BBQ Wholesale Centre.
Lost our way at Bedok so took cab down.
Chose our food and took cab back to Pasir Ris.
Juniors & Seniors reached before we does :)
Mahjong still continues.
Started bbqing once we reached.
Yi Liang started the fire for 2 bbq pits.
We are supposed to book the bbq pits but we did not book at all.
No one will check it anyway :P
 
Jaime,Xin Hui,Yi Li,Jun Ru,Neveon started playing Twister.
It looks fun and attracted my attention because did not try it before.
Thought I would get a chance to play yesterday but BBQing the food is much more fun.
Even juniors played it too :)

On a positive thought,Kah Wee do not deserve to have her.

  The drink that killed many sperms last night :/Yi Liang drank more than 2. Kelvin killed his as well. Haha.  Chickens which many said it was not cooked. And it's still frozen after 2 hours.   Not leaving juniors out :) Saw the fun side of them! Guang Liang's hair damn long. Haha he reminds me of a cartoon character.    All I can remember for the bbq session was,
"Good job people! Good job! (while munching on the food happily)" - Elton
"This chicken not cooked leh!" - Juniors
"You should wait till Benson comes out,his skills of bbqing chicken is superb!" - Kelvin
"I want the more chao tah satay!" - Xin Hui
My face was burnt!
Just like what Kale & Yi Lin had said,
"Ching Na's face when white really can go very white. When peng,can really go very peng. When red,can really go very red"
Washed my face with cold water before continuing with the food. Elton's in red. After getting in NS,even his language also changed. Haha. Become more vulgar already. Tsk. Norman got influenced by him! Jaime Xin Hui Jun Ru Neveon :)

 Snatched time slots for showering. But I will take a longer time to shower so Yi Liang showered at 8.30 pm while I showered at 8.40 pm. Because both of us want to catch 双子星 . Walked to EHub with Chloe,Elton,Yi Liang,Norman for movie information again. Then to Burger King with them plus Jia Hua,Yang Jin,Justin,Brandon. Norman bought sweet. His recommendation(s) is always good.   Chloe :) Our first mentor (with benjamin,farizah) when we first entered NPCC.
 Back to the chalet,borrowed bikes from Kelvin,Meng How & Benson. Cycled around Pasir Ris with Xin Xia & Yi Lin :) Back to the chalet again,slept from 130 am to 430 am. I was a light sleeper but after this chalet,it trained me to become a heavy sleeper. Haha! Because the noises there was !woah. 3rd day on the 11th of June(Last day)Down to Pasir Ris Beach at 430 am to catch Sunrise. But we waited till 6 am but the sun still refused to comes up. I guess we are too early. Haha.
Keep telling Yi Liang the island opposite is Pulau Ubin but he doesn't seems to agree with me -.-
Agree with Joo Teng that the scenery there is really beautiful. Because he went there with his friends last week. Beautiful Sunrise.
Back to the chalet... (I repeated this like how many times)
Many of them went home.
Went home with Neveon :) Cute map! Our block is the furthest. Poisoned our legs. Almost dead. We will have to pay a fee of $1 after 2 am as stated down there. But we did not pay at all for the 2 nights after 2 am. The person will still get his/her salary anyway :) Don't talk to me about integrity now. Pay and you're a fool.  MRT seems to be faster :O
And the journey is so fast. I miss chalet :(
Supposed to meet Yi Liang for breakfast but I was too tired so headed home.
Slept from 1115 am - 6 pm

Why Freedomofdoves? Ever heard of the song - "Paint My Love" by Michael Learns To Rock? Listen to the chorus and you might find out the answer from there. I am not a huge fan of doves but I just find that this uniform resource locator of my blog sounds really comely and it gives me a halcyon feeling. This is where I blog about the story of my life...
Every individual is different. I am a very hyper active person with effervescent personality and I am very sociable :) During my leisure time, I visit the museums or go cycling at the beach. My preferences for genres of music are easy listening, blues, classical and pop. I also search for beautiful pictures for inspirations. I only watch Hong Kong Dramas and news.
Under my parents consent, I have an english name - Athena, as many people do not know how to pronounce my name. I live in this famous little red dot, Singapore. People often mistaken me as a foreigner but I am a pure Singaporean :) My mother is an Indonesian and my father is a Singaporean. Not considering the fact that we are near to the equator, Singapore, this developed country is a wonderful place to live in. Be it traditional songs or NDP theme songs, they are still my favorites.
I attended PAP Kindergarden from 1998 - 2000, Braddell Primary School in 2001, First Toa Payoh Primary School from 2002-2006 and currently studying in Beatty Secondary School. I am a Normal Academic student and holding on to six subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Chinese, Combined Science, Combined Humanities and Design and Technology. This year, I will be taking seven Normal level papers and one Ordinary level English paper.
My greatest wish in life is to travel around the world with my family or friends and be a happy person. I think that is how life should be :) My level of maturity depends on who I am with.
I am from the National Police Cadet Corps and held the post of Assistant Head of Administration and Secondary Two Squad Mentor. In 2008, I was chosen to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade in Home Team Academy. In 2009, I took part in the National Day Parade as a member of the NPCC contingent. In my own unit, I was in the Guard Of Honor Contingent in 2009 and 2010. After the National Day Parade, under NPCC, I went for the five days four nights Outward Bound Singapore Camp in Pulau Ubin. I also feel honored to be one of the 30 cadets who went for the seven days and six nights NPCC Overseas Educational Trip to Hong Kong and Macau from 17 November 2009 to 23 November 2009.
