6 tickets : 3 to Ming Wei/his 2 cadets,2 to Me/Lauren. Supposed to give Jin Yuan the extra 1 ticket but his friend didn't want to go. Tickets last year was nicer.
Met Ming Wei/his 2 cadets and Jun Qi/his 2 cadets at Choa Chu Kang MRT station. Instead of taking the shuttle bus,we took bus over to Home Team Academy. Explored the gallery first before going to the grandstand...
As for the parade, the march-in is damn nice pls :)
This 3 videos are for people who hates/despise NPCC. After watching it,please shut up.
Lauren : This parade is so good! Me : Of course! We are NPCC cadets :D
Though we are not in our NPCC full uniform, but Khairul and I still took the NPCC pledge. I was singing along as the NPCC band played the NPCC march song.
There are so many familiar faces around. And was shocked to see some of them too.
Lauren came as well! Got Khairul to escort her in :)
Before the Guard-Of-Honour marched in. Supporting Contigent.
Guard-Of-Honour/Gold Unit Flag Party marching in.
Parade Commander and the 3 flag bearers. State Flag,SPF flag,NPCC flag
Commisioner of Police,Mr.Khoo Boon Hui
Reviewing Officer, Dr.Ng Eng Hen - Minister for Education and 2nd Minister for Defence
Inspection
Ready for the march past Spotted our school flag. Effects.
Nice water, but maybe it's because the weather is too warm.
Emcees This was also the first time Lauren's witnessing this kind of parade :) Hope she enjoyed herself there. Had dinner at Mess Hall. V.I.Ps had their dinner at the Harmony Hall.
Khairul entertained us much. Me : We're going to the Mess Hall at Block 10 for dinner. Lauren : What about the other side? (harmony hall) Khairul : That's for V.I.Ps so they go to the high-class one. We are not V.I.Ps so we go to the low-class one.
haha wtf man,the way he put it is so funny.
After that ... unhappy things aside.
Took cab home and the uncle was once in NPCC too :)
Jin Yuan's phrase still lingers in my mind.
School tomorrow :/ Mid-year examinations in 2 weeks time.

About Me Koh Ching Na
Why Freedomofdoves? Ever heard of the song - "Paint My Love" by Michael Learns To Rock? Listen to the chorus and you might find out the answer from there. I am not a huge fan of doves but I just find that this uniform resource locator of my blog sounds really comely and it gives me a halcyon feeling. This is where I blog about the story of my life...
Every individual is different. I am a very hyper active person with effervescent personality and I am very sociable :) During my leisure time, I visit the museums or go cycling at the beach. My preferences for genres of music are easy listening, blues, classical and pop. I also search for beautiful pictures for inspirations. I only watch Hong Kong Dramas and news.
Under my parents consent, I have an english name - Athena, as many people do not know how to pronounce my name. I live in this famous little red dot, Singapore. People often mistaken me as a foreigner but I am a pure Singaporean :) My mother is an Indonesian and my father is a Singaporean. Not considering the fact that we are near to the equator, Singapore, this developed country is a wonderful place to live in. Be it traditional songs or NDP theme songs, they are still my favorites.
I attended PAP Kindergarden from 1998 - 2000, Braddell Primary School in 2001, First Toa Payoh Primary School from 2002-2006 and currently studying in Beatty Secondary School. I am a Normal Academic student and holding on to six subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Chinese, Combined Science, Combined Humanities and Design and Technology. This year, I will be taking seven Normal level papers and one Ordinary level English paper.
My greatest wish in life is to travel around the world with my family or friends and be a happy person. I think that is how life should be :) My level of maturity depends on who I am with.
I am from the National Police Cadet Corps and held the post of Assistant Head of Administration and Secondary Two Squad Mentor. In 2008, I was chosen to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade in Home Team Academy. In 2009, I took part in the National Day Parade as a member of the NPCC contingent. In my own unit, I was in the Guard Of Honor Contingent in 2009 and 2010. After the National Day Parade, under NPCC, I went for the five days four nights Outward Bound Singapore Camp in Pulau Ubin. I also feel honored to be one of the 30 cadets who went for the seven days and six nights NPCC Overseas Educational Trip to Hong Kong and Macau from 17 November 2009 to 23 November 2009.
