The (♥) of my life.
I am finally back home after the NCO Training Camp :)
Slept for 23 hours just to replenish my energy for the 2 days 1 night camp :/
I think it is the longest hours I had ever slept in my whole teenage life :)
How do you spell a-w-e-s-o-m-e? :D
I was watching a Music Video on Unbreakable by - Westlife when I saw this comment(s) below.
It makes me laugh my ass off,haha.
So today,went to Lei Garden @ Chjimes with family :)
After daddy recommended this place for Dim Sum 1 year ago,we keep going there for our afternoon tea.
In the car,I saw Jin Wang walking out of his school with his cadets,looking very emo ~
haha 2nd time seeing him emo already.
Why are people around me so emo nowadays? :/
Anyway.
1st serving
 2nd serving Lobster Porridge Dim Sum Yeah,Lei Garden This soup cost $80 -.-  Daddy Mummy  Bill
 The waiter looks cute!  Ching May got really addicted to her iPhone Mahjong game.
She went - I 'hu' already!!!!!!!!  leaving ~
After our afternoon tea,
- Daddy sent Ching May for her tuition @ Serangoon while he went off for work.
- Ching Wen went home because she needs to finish her holiday homework.
- I accompanied Mummy to a traditional Chinese temple situated @ Waterloo Street.
Before that,we walked around Raffles City for awhile first.
Then took MRT down to Bugis and walked to Waterloo Street from there :)    I took Ching Wen's Ez-link card because I didn't bring mine out.
She looks cuter when she's in Primary 2 :)

  I told Mummy frankly that I won't believe in gods unless I see them myself and I will accompany and tag along with them because I respect them.
I thought she would scold me.
Thankfully,my mum's not that superstitious type and have the same thinking as me.
She also mentioned that this temple is really accurate.
But I will still stick to my own beliefs.
Nevertheless,I still prayed for blessings :)

3rd aunt & Mummy wore the same shirt,ha!
 I begged Mummy to let me wear one of this but...  she gave me this instead.
 I told her "Mummy,I'm the most obedient one. So in the future,all your diamonds and golds must give me. Don't give Maymay and Wenwen too many. Give me more ah :D"

I can only remember this few activities because my mind is stuck in between the 4 corners of the walls now.
- Rope Obstacle
For the 1st time,I can only climb/hang on halfway through.
For the 2nd time,I tell myself I must hang on till the end of the rope &, Yi Liang,Yi Li and I made it till the end :)
- Taught us on 'How to conduct a debrief...'
Ti Shone sir asked for volunteers so Yi Liang,Kale,Yi Lin and I volunteered.
"You all have to hold hands."
Kale & Yi Lin purposely pair me and Yi Liang up then they paired up themselves.
Everyone was like "Holding hands?!"
It's actually like hand-shaking :)
I played that before during Project Vibrant Colours II.
- Electric Fence
Played this during Project Vibrant Colours II too so told my squadmates how to transfer everyone over.
While transferring our squadmates over,Kah Wee was the only one who threw everyone,haha!
Violent.
My squadmates reminds me of our friends in Mayflower during PVC :)
- Saving Casualties?
3 volunteers - Yi Liang,Idayu and I volunteered.
We are supposed to be the casualties and they must go through all the twines which is all around the classroom with their hands tied together with twines.
Everyone of them must pat on our shoulders at least,once. But the rules changed after that,anyone of them who had pat us for once,considered saved.
Yi Liang and I almost fell asleep so Zheng Bao Ma'am got us to do 50 Jumping Jets,100 Push-ups.
The feeling is damn shiok for Jumping Jets!
- Lunch
There are 3 types of instant noodles for us to choose.
Kale and I,we had Abalone Chicken... Instant Noodles for lunch.
MY FIRST TIME LIGHTING UP MATCHES.
MY FIRST TIME CRACKING AN EGG.
(The process of cracking the egg wasn't a smooth one :/ Meng How sir is very encouraging :))
Speaking of which,many of my first-time experiences happens in NPCC.
Never in my life. I repeat - Never in my life,I had experience so much things until I join this CCA.
I lit up a solid fuel,yesterday.
I felt a sense of achievement now.
What's next?
- Tent Pitching
We were given the poles,twines,scissors and pegs then we will have to use our Ponchos as shelter.
But still... Disappointment.
We told each other that if it rains @ night and our shelter died on us,we will just run to the classrooms block just beside out "tent."
Thank god,it didn't rain last night :)
I think that's a reward from the clouds.
They must have know that this squad got united after this camp so it didn't rain.
- Physical Training
Zheng Bao Ma'am taught us the new syllabus for Physical Training Exercise.
Volunteered for the first exercise (Head Rotation Exercise) but nothing much new except for no shouting when facing up and down.
Ran and ran and ran and realised our stamina is really really really low now :/
Halfway through,I feel like vomitting again.
Yi Liang was there to accompany me though,so I don't feel alone.
Sir gave us one 1.5litre of soft drinks as "Reward" for the whole squad to share.
Kah Wee snatched it away from me and the water spilled on my body.
He did it again in the NPCC room when Kenny sir offered us a 100 plus.
Hahaha,but he's funny when doing that la.
- Flag Lowering
Ti Shone Sir asked for 2 volunteers for flag raising so Sheila & I volunteered.
Sheila got the school flag and I got the Singapore flag.
So School flag must always come down first before the National flag comes down.
Then both of us keep looking at each other's flag.
- Dinner
Ti Shone Sir : Ok,we will have another round of Physical Training Exercise!
Us : HUH?!
Needless to say,Instant Noodles,again :)
Opened the can of Red Beans for Yi Lin then many of us ate her beans.
Ching Na : Yi Lin,how come this can of red bean so little ah? Must be the company's fault,go sue them.
Yi Lin : You all eat one lor.
- Communication .... (?)
Ms.Tan's clue : Synergise.
Benson sir came!
Kale got blindfolded first then my turn.
We got out of the room successfully :)
- Personal Reflection
Classroom B2-05 to do the personal reflection.
I got really pissed that time because I received one news from my squadmate(s) which makes me feel like just walking out of the school and quit halfway.
Damn. I endured.
- Showering Time
Everyone was shouting "shiok ah!" in the toilet.
On the way back to NPCC room,munching on the biscuits that CIs had given to us,we were saying how nice the biscuits taste.
- Sleeping time
We did not sleep early because we were told that there will be a Fire Drill.
THIS IS THE BEST TIME OF THE DAY!
- Yi Lin,Xin Xia,Kale & I shared one tent.
- Sheila,Yi Li & Nurul shared one tent.
- Kah Wee,Marcus,Yi Liang & Jive shared one tent.
The guys have no shelter at all except for the groundsheet.
But it was really nice to sleep in open air,srsly.
Then,the 4 of us (kale,xx,yilin,me) laughed like nobody's business! :D
We were bitching/laughing about "someone".
Then we talked about "NPCC SLEEPING POSTURE"!!! (Copyrighted)
We sky-gazed.
Conversations which is not funny,still managed to make us laugh till our jaws drop. Almost.
But by 1am,laughters stopped and snorings arrived.
(Just kidding,I don't hear any snorings though)
- In the morning,In the morning,In the morning 5bx!
By 5.15am,all of us was awake :)
But many of us feel like sleeping again. It was so great to sleep in open air and turn here and there with your squadmates. The morning air was just too fresh and great which makes me feels like going back to sleep,again.
Ti Shone sir came. "Now it's your fire drill exercise. We are not blowing the whistle because there are other CCAs around. So what are you all waiting for?"
Ran to the parade square and fall in infront of the flag pole.
But Kale and I ran back again to get the poles,twines,biscuits,squadmate's clothings which was left in the tent then back to the parade square again.
- Human Knot(s)
We will have to surround a lamp post then we're supposed to make a human knots.

- Morning Physical Training
Volunteered as PTI and had Stretching Exercise with my squadmates @ Red Patch Area :)

Ching Na : Finished.
Ti Shone Sir : Including the 5bx?
Ching Na : I thought 3bx only?!
Ti Shone Sir : I mean 3 sets of 5bx.
More than 100 for each sets.
Then we keep doing and doing and doing again and again and again.
- Breakfast
Food : Bread with Nutella.
Drink : Milo.
Spread the Nutella around the bread.
Cooked Milo in the Mess Tin.
Kah Wee's group was too sweet,ours was too diluted,Sheila's group was fine.
- Flag Raising
Weird to sing the National Anthem without the background music.
Wanted to sing the anthem but my voice was too hoarse for it.
- Classroom for SWOT (Strengths,Weaknesses,Opportunities,Threat) Analysis
Volunteered to be the one writing down how the others feel as we shared our thoughts and views.
More weaknesses than strengths.
We shall work on on the weaknesses and maintain the strengths :)
- EGGS! :D
Roll Called 1 & 2 and was splitted up.
1. Using the things that was given to us,make use of it to protect the eggs.
We then have to throw it down to the ground floor from the 2nd storey.
Each group will have 3 eggs,3 balloons,newspapers,twines & straws.
Both the group have only 1 egg survivor :)
Initially,we intend to blow the balloon with the egg in it and throw it down but we decided not to.
In the end,it's one of the correct way to protect the egg :(
2. All are splitted into 3 groups mainly the - quietest,noisiest,blindfolded.
Quietest - Kale,Marcus,Yi Li
Noisiest - Kah Wee,Ching Na,Yi Lin,Xin Xia
Blindfolded - Yi Liang,Jive,Sheila,Nurul
This activity is very fun :D
- Unpitch tents
While unpitching the tents,there are some idiots seniors (Secondary 4's) up there shouting "NPCC sucks".
I went up to Kenny sir "Can I beat someone up now? The secondary 4's"
I don't care if you're a guy. If a 7 year old child can lift up a car just to save his/her parents who were stucked,you're just a peanut to me.
Given my will,I can easily kick your dick just break it into half.
But Rena Ma'am taught us to take feedback positively so I choose to think this way -
Given my will,I will make this unit stronger to prove it to you that your judgement is wrong.
Kenny sir, "I had endured this kind of nonsense for 4 years. I believe you can as well."
To the person who said that,kindly go suck your mum's balls. Or just cut your dad's dick.
NPCC SUCKS? HELLO? ARE YOU KIDDING ME? :)
So back to unpitch tents.
Carried all the pegs up and great,I kicked my thighs against the pegs and 6 out of 19 pegs dropped -.-
Then picked up again.
Kenny sir says our groundsheets are still wet so we used the hand dryers.
The 5th time,finally it's dry :)
- Break camp
No area-cleaning due to time constraint.
Who won't be excited for this time?
Everyone smiled happily :D
I turned back at my squadmates,I almost ask "Can we extend for another day?"
But it's still better not ah,another day of torturing,uh.
Ti Shone sir said "Welcome... to hell",giving that evil wink.

Before camp :
My maid woke me up at freaking 6.30am.
Packed those stuffs which is still not in my bag,ate 2 big cup of Vanilla Ice-Cream (fav fav fav!) because she forgot to prepare breakfast for me :/
Which lead to a disaster.
Because I did not take dinner the previous night and cold stuffs in the morning.
Went to Mount.Elizabeth Hospital with Mummy.
It's just a minor thing but she says if I want to go to camp,I will have to visit the doctor.
Dr. I-forgot-what asked me if I was pregnant -.-
My mum stared at me.
The nurse laughed.
HAHAHAHA. NOT FUNNY.
Then Mummy advised me not to go for camp.
I told her it's just a small problem and I will be alright after a few hours.
20 minutes of persuading + doctor's help,she allowed :)
Then I took cab down to Zhong Hua Secondary School to take trackpants from my elder sister as she have her NPCC annual camp/NCO camp/Council camp.
She can't find the trackpants so borrowed from her friend.
The took cab down to school.

I am not a huge fan of doves but I just find that this uniform resource locator of my blog sounds really comely and it gives me a halcyon feeling. This is where I blog about the story of my life...
Every individual is different. I am a very hyper active person with effervescent personality and I am very sociable :) During my leisure time, I visit the museums or go cycling at the beach. My preferences for genres of music are easy listening, blues, classical and pop. I also search for beautiful pictures for inspirations. I only watch Hong Kong Dramas and news.
Under my parents consent, I have an english name - Athena, as many people do not know how to pronounce my name. I live in this famous little red dot, Singapore. People often mistaken me as a foreigner but I am a pure Singaporean :) My mother is an Indonesian and my father is a Singaporean. Not considering the fact that we are near to the equator, Singapore, this developed country is a wonderful place to live in. Be it traditional songs or NDP theme songs, they are still my favorites.
I attended PAP Kindergarden from 1998 - 2000, Braddell Primary School in 2001, First Toa Payoh Primary School from 2002-2006 and currently studying in Beatty Secondary School. I am a Normal Academic student and holding on to six subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Chinese, Combined Science, Combined Humanities and Design and Technology. This year, I will be taking seven Normal level papers and one Ordinary level English paper.
My greatest wish in life is to travel around the world with my family or friends and be a happy person. I think that is how life should be :) My level of maturity depends on who I am with.
I am from the National Police Cadet Corps and held the post of Assistant Head of Administration and Secondary Two Squad Mentor. In 2008, I was chosen to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade in Home Team Academy. In 2009, I took part in the National Day Parade as a member of the NPCC contingent. In my own unit, I was in the Guard Of Honor Contingent in 2009 and 2010. After the National Day Parade, under NPCC, I went for the five days four nights Outward Bound Singapore Camp in Pulau Ubin. I also feel honored to be one of the 30 cadets who went for the seven days and six nights NPCC Overseas Educational Trip to Hong Kong and Macau from 17 November 2009 to 23 November 2009.
