Chinese New Year (Eve/Day 1/Day 2) :D

HAPPY CHINESE NEW YEAR! :D

Due to recession,our red packets money had also decreased :(
Ok,no unhappy things :)




Chinese New Year (Eve)
Had reunion dinner @ home.
99.9% of the Chinese Families all had steamboat with their family including mine :)



Abalone & Shark Fins is a must,not forgetting my favourite Vegetables + Meatballs! :D

Many laughters across the tables.

Chinese New Year (Day 1)

In the morning,everything was a rush.
I immediately got up & showered. Soon later,the Lion Dance came :)
It was in gold/pink last year while it's silver this year...






















Then we went over to 2nd Aunt's house @ East Area,Katong :)

When we got there,it was extremely quiet! Usually,it will be very crowded by 4pm & there will be lion dance around that time. This time,there's no people & no lion dance. Again,due to recession :(





















Stayed there till 12am +? Haha,because this year,no mahjong,no poker cards :)

Then... home sweet home :)

Was wearing white all over,
including my White Shoe :)



Went down to 1st Uncle's house @ Siglap for Steamboat :)



Over steamboat,I was super pissed with my 3rd Aunt.

She knows I hate talking about Brandon (I had told her before) & she still talk over my lunch,makes me lose appetite.


AND.


I'm not in the right mood to joke these few days,seriously.
Suan/Insult me once or twice,I can accept & treat it like nothing. Mood swing sucks,really sucks.


Ok,back to topic.
Walked around 1st Uncle's Condominium with Cousin Adrian & Cousin Marissa.
Slacked @ the Chip & Putt (I don't know why this name,haha!)

Then,to my 2nd Aunt's house again.

Why Freedomofdoves? Ever heard of the song - "Paint My Love" by Michael Learns To Rock? Listen to the chorus and you might find out the answer from there. I am not a huge fan of doves but I just find that this uniform resource locator of my blog sounds really comely and it gives me a halcyon feeling. This is where I blog about the story of my life...



Every individual is different. I am a very hyper active person with effervescent personality and I am very sociable :) During my leisure time, I visit the museums or go cycling at the beach. My preferences for genres of music are easy listening, blues, classical and pop. I also search for beautiful pictures for inspirations. I only watch Hong Kong Dramas and news.

Under my parents consent, I have an english name - Athena, as many people do not know how to pronounce my name. I live in this famous little red dot, Singapore. People often mistaken me as a foreigner but I am a pure Singaporean :) My mother is an Indonesian and my father is a Singaporean. Not considering the fact that we are near to the equator, Singapore, this developed country is a wonderful place to live in. Be it traditional songs or NDP theme songs, they are still my favorites.

I attended PAP Kindergarden from 1998 - 2000, Braddell Primary School in 2001, First Toa Payoh Primary School from 2002-2006 and currently studying in Beatty Secondary School. I am a Normal Academic student and holding on to six subjects which are English, Elementary Mathematics, Chinese, Combined Science, Combined Humanities and Design and Technology. This year, I will be taking seven Normal level papers and one Ordinary level English paper.

My greatest wish in life is to travel around the world with my family or friends and be a happy person. I think that is how life should be :) My level of maturity depends on who I am with.

I am from the National Police Cadet Corps and held the post of Assistant Head of Administration and Secondary Two Squad Mentor. In 2008, I was chosen to participate in the NPCC Annual Parade in Home Team Academy. In 2009, I took part in the National Day Parade as a member of the NPCC contingent. In my own unit, I was in the Guard Of Honor Contingent in 2009 and 2010. After the National Day Parade, under NPCC, I went for the five days four nights Outward Bound Singapore Camp in Pulau Ubin. I also feel honored to be one of the 30 cadets who went for the seven days and six nights NPCC Overseas Educational Trip to Hong Kong and Macau from 17 November 2009 to 23 November 2009.
